After discovering the trance-ambient and Goa-trance sounds of the early 90’s, I took up the art of DJing and have traveled great distances around the globe to explore the resurgence of the archaic trance-dance ritual. In the summer of 2008, I was honored to be invited as a label dj for the venerable Ultimae Records, France. My DJ sets are an expression that combine intelligent melodies, tribal rhythms, organic textures, and ethnic emotions in an attempt to transcend musical genres and cultures through a conscious exploration of spirituality through technology.

DJ Dedos (aka Steve-O) is probably one of New York City’s most respected Psytrance DJs. His DJ career took off in 1995 after playing a Nantucket Island sunrise set alongside Medicine Drum. Returning to his Medicine Drum roots, He teamed up with Alan, Andy and the Gaian Mind crew, to help produce the first US Earth Dance in 1998. For nearly a decade, he was involved in decorating and DJing the most prolific parties in New York City at “Vinyl” and with Synthetic Sadhus at incredible venues like the Amazura Ballroom.
At the same time, the US trance scene was very turbulent with a lot of DJ’s searching for inspiration in other styles of music, like house, techno and drum & bass, while Dedos found him self progressing towards the morning and a more groovy, funky, yet full on style.
Lately Steve-O has been a frequent guest at the biggest trance festivals in the US, as well as clubs all over the world. His style has made him one of the most respected and cutting edge DJ’s in the scene. Today the progressive trance sounds he found early on, are everywhere.

Tritton’s whole world was flipped upside down over a decade ago when two pixie sisters stumbled upon him near a beach and sprayed him with their elixir. After wandering the dunes for several days in a daze, he emerged with a new perspective on life and music. He began to seek out new and exciting sounds, which he found in electronic music. At the present, Tritton’s musical journey has found him as a DJ spinning psychedelic tunes, and incorporating different genres such as ambient, dub, world, breaks and techno. Always playing for the Now, his sets range from smooth and relaxing to chaotic and eye-opening.

VJ and video artist Guillaume Clave is based New York, USA has been involved in the trance scene since 1991 and started producing trance parties in Paris and Nice (France) in 1992 in association with T.B.E.(Trans Body Express). Since the late ’90’s Guillaume has been performing as a VJ for parties across the US. Guillaume is known for his signature psychedelic visual effects, which have been displayed at art galleries and video conferences in France, Spain, Mexico, South Africa, and the US (including at Burning Man, Nevada) as well at The United Nations for Earth Day.

Deco
One of Gaian Mind’s original visual artists, Meghan’s visionary paintings and silk-screened fabrics were featured at the first Gaian Mind Summer Festival and many other GM events. She is also responsible for the ever-evolving Green Man logo that appears on GMSF flyers and t-shirts. A recent graduate of textile design, Meghan’s nature and travel-inspired designs can often be seen on many a t-shirt and garment on dancers at GM events. She has also helped design costumes for Archedream, a blacklight theater group that has performed at several Gaian Mind Summer festivals. Meghan continues to take inspiration from her travels and experiences with all the beautiful party people at psy-trance events around the world.

Mizue was the mastermind behind the main stage deco in the last two Gaian Mind Summer Festivals. She constantly creates new artwork and always experiments with innovative ideas. Mizue has been decorating many parties in North and South America and Japan, where she is now based. Her equal attention to detail as well as the overall arrangement of her artwork, love of experimentation and growing collection are assurance that no two events that feature artwork by Mizue will ever look the same.
